SL Outfit 5/25/08

In the game Second Life, I play the avatar Juushika Redgrave.

I have officially been pulled into the world of surfing by Express, who just helped me find my own board. I've never been much of one for the beach in either life, and so this is a change for me—but it is a surprisingly fun hobby, both addicting and softly relaxing. As far as SL fashion goes it is taxing my limited folder of bathing suits, but it's also giving me a chance to put together outfits that fall somewhat outside of my norm, playing with more suits and more color.

The barely-visible swimsuit that forms the basis to this outfit is from Second Wave Apparel. I don't much care for the store's pants and shirts, but the swimsuits are wonderfully crafted and come in a number of great textures and on all layers. Worn over it is a semi-sheer shirt from G.L.A.M. (very lightly tinted to a yellower green), which lets the swimsuit peek through while still covering a bit more skin.

To cover up some more—say, when shopping—I wore jeans and sandals from Last Call which are both now, sadly, retired. Out on the water I surfed with my shiny new gifted board from Namiko. It has a lovely water color-like graphic on the tip which I'll have to feature some time, and artful logos. I was in the market for a shortboard but was won over by the larger variety of designs for the longboards. What can I say? I'm vain.

Both shots were taken at Surfline Rezzable, which is beautiful and also a lovely place to actually surf—I love that there's entire sim given over to plenty of ocean and waves.
